Ok, so you have already seen the buzz going on. Blog posts flying, videos everywhere. PEOPLE FREAKING OUT!!!!

YouTube is getting pesky with marketers. There are couple of things that are contributing to this and in this video I talk about them and also give you a few alternatives for posting videos.

Understand this, I do still believe that you should post your videos to YouTube, its still viable, and can send a lot of traffic and leads your way, but as I said in a recent MLSP webinar about 2 months ago, there is a risk, and if you are willing to accept that risk, it can be very powerful for you.

I made this video for you today just talking about some of the things going on, and a few alternatives for you to consider.

Resources mentioned in the video

SUPER IMPORTANT: Backup your YouTube account now. Go to http://www.Google.com/takeout and do a full backup of your youtube account now.

Wistia – This looks to be a cool service. There is nothing specifically listed in the terms of service that have anything against the home based business industry. As long as you don't do shady stuff, you should be fine should you decide to use this service.

Vimeo – Good service, they specifically state in their terms that they don't want MLM related content. Make sure that if you use this service, use the paid option and make sure to hide your videos on vimeo.com so that it doesn't show publically except for where you publish it.

Easy Video Suite – This integrates with Amazon S3. This the best way to own your content 100%. The only draw back is that if you get a lot of traffic to your blog, your costs will go up. If you don't mind paying for it, this is a great option. I love this, it works great, and I recommend it.

My Lead System Pro – MLSP has a great integrated video hosting with your MLSP account. If you are not a member of MLSP you really should be. click here to start your 10 day test drive.

Stay tuned I will have more video marketing updates coming soon.

Thanks Mark for the video update!!! Haven't had any videos flagged yet, but I know some will…

Mark very informative video. I think YouTube is setting it's self up for a paid service, could be wrong but my thoughts. I just started using S3 for my blog and may look into EVS soon. It looks like it has a lot of very cool features for marketers. For now I found a pretty nice video player plugin that works nicely with S3…

Great post, buddy. The best of the best will keep plugging along, but I feel bad for the beginners whose best avenue might have been videos to succeed quickly. Yes there are other avenues, but YouTube is newbie friendly. We'll keep marching on!

Thanks Mark. They flagged 47 of my videos today on two channels I do have three channels and set up an account with Wistia and I have kept raw files and some on MLSP. I would not be surprised if one of my channels gets deleted soon I always have known it is a risk.

    • Kim Willis

Great video, although I think Mark is perhaps a little mild when he says 'there is a risk' I think in light of recent events it is no longer simply a risk – it is a major risk. All marketers in this niche ought to rethink their strategy

    • Mark Harbert

Well however you perceive it, there is a risk. Whether its big or not is for you to decide, but if you are willing to accept the risk YouTube can still be very powerful. You rock Kim, thanks for stopping by my friend.

Another option to consider might be IBOTube.com – by the people who run IBOToolbox it's home-business friendly. Not as full featured as YT or some of the others, it's free and simple.

    • Robert Bennett

      Great video Mark.

    • Mark Harbert

      thanks Robert, you rock bud.

    • Mary M Austin

That just sucks, Linda. You make great videos that are helpful.

    • Mary M Austin

Seems like YouTube is giving someone an opportunity to knock them off their pedestal. If enough marketers could move somewhere else to get good service, that would be great.

What is the difference in being Righteous by flagging a video that is not appropriate for your kids to watch or making a Righteous video that asks people to stop what they deem as right by flagging the competition. It seems like Righteousness is defined by the individual’s moral interpretation. It’s all Greek “Politically Correct” to me. Thanks for the info.

    • Thanks, Mark, for addressing this right away. I was surprised to see that I had several videos deleted. Here's one title that was erased: Breathing Lessons: Do you Need to Relax? Seriously! This was deleted. I guess someone out there doesn't like people to breathe!! LOL Anyway, you always give us so much. I appreciate you.

    • Jim Beyea

Do other video hosting providers (Wistia, Vimeo, etc) search well in Google searches?

    • Mark Harbert

Paula you so rock. Seriously your words are big time uplifting, I just know you are heading places. It was also great talking to you the other day. 🙂

    • Mark Harbert

Keep your eye open Jim, I will do a video on this soon for you bud.
