Did you know that you can literally change the entire direction of your business in 90 days? Yup, it's true.
How do I know? Because that's what happened to me back in 2012 when I made the decision to take hardcore action for 90 days.
Look at my chart below which shows the signup rate in one main affiliate program I promote.
Most people believe that it takes a long time to succeed and that it takes a long time to create a significant income.
It doesn't matter your business model. Direct sales, network marketing, affiliate marketing, or whatever, you can change your business in 90 days.
So here is a simplified plan you can start to use to map out the action you are going to take.
Step One: Get A Specific Goal In Mind
This is the most important part. Most know where they want to be, but they are not specific enough with the goal.
For instance, you want to make 5-figures a month? Why?
What do you plan on doing with that money?
Just saying you want to make a lot of money isn't a good enough reason. You need to be specific.
Do you want it to fund a college education?
Do you want to buy a new car in cash?
Are you wanting to go on a dream vacation to the tropics?
Be specific and put your mind in that space where you can actually picture yourself achieving that goal.
I know this seems super simplified, but that's because it really is that simple it's just people don't take it far enough and get specific enough when determining the final destination so to speak.
Step Two: Create A REALISTIC Goal You Can Achieve In 90 Days
Did you notice I capitalized REALISTIC? The reason is, to many people set these super lofty goals that are not based in reality.
I have actually had people tell me they want to earn a $10,000+ per month income in their business yet they can only work 5 hours per week and they want to get there in the next 3-4 months.
Do you see the disconnect?
So make sure you set a good time frame and be realistic about it.
However, don't cut yourself short either. Set a goal that will push you a bit, but not so far out of reach that it can't be attained.
I have heard some leaders say before…
“Shoot for the moon, and if you miss, at least you're among the stars”
LOL, come on, let's get real here.
If you said that in a business meeting with high-level executives that wanted a clear plan to meet an objective, you would be laughed at and probably fired.
Why would this business be any different?
The reason is, it's not and you shouldn't treat it differently from a planning standpoint. Make sense?
Step Three: Outline The Process
So here is where you want to outline the steps you need to take to achieve that goal. In other words, ask yourself these questions…
- How many leads do you need?
- What marketing strategy will you use to generate the leads?
- How many leads do you need to get a new signup?
- How many signups in a day are required to meet your main goal?
- How much product or products do you need to sell each month?
- How much product or products do you need to sell each day?
Do you see what I am getting at here? Without detailing the steps and how you are going to achieve them, you can't have a clear path to reach the goal.
Many people have a goal, but they don't detail out the steps to actually achieve it. If you don't detail out the steps, then you don't know if you are falling off track or not, and that is not a good thing.
Step Four: Track Your Progress
This is actually pretty simple. Take a few minutes a day or even each week and see how you're doing. Are you on track? If not, why?
It's a lot easier to take stock every couple days than to just set a plan, then never refer back to it. You will get 90 days down the road scratching your head.
At the very least, you should do it once weekly. If you are not meeting your goals, evaluate it, see why, and make the needed changes.
So did you get the simplicity of this post?
