I'm going to share with you three strategies that have helped me recruit over 1,200 people.
And I guarantee that if you put these to action… and you honestly put them to work and put everything you've got into them… you WILL get results in YOUR business too!
Let's Dive Into My Proven Network Marketing Recruiting Strategies.
Strategy #1: Take the Focus Off You
Now, what do I mean by that? You see, I've been in this industry for a very long time. (Going on twenty years in fact.)
One of the things that I've learned over the years, after recruiting over 1,200 people personally, is that most people have a commission on their breath.
Most people want to sign up anybody with a pulse. The problem is that this needy energy is transferred to your prospect. Yes, they absolutely know when you are just wanting to sign them up so you can make money. That is the wrong idea and people can see right through it.
Proof Focusing On YOUR Commission Does Not Work!
I've seen it over and over throughout the years. Somebody prospects a person that should have easily been a sign-up but doesn't get the sign-up. Then a week or two later, somebody else swoops in from the very same company, and signs them up!
Why are they pumped, excited, and ready to join them but NOT you?
It's all because of YOUR ENERGY.
The second person was able to swoop in because they were coming across in a genuine way. The prospect could tell they wanted to sign them up for the right reasons. To actually help them! Not just to earn a commission off them!
Your prospects can absolutely read this!
So remember, one of the most important things you can do for your business, and your network marketing recruiting efforts, is to take the focus off yourself.
The great Zig Ziglar said it best: “If you can help enough people get what they want, you can have everything you want.”
Keep your focus on your prospect, their wants, needs, and your recruiting game will change forever.
There are many times where I've had people literally about to sign up, and I've stopped them because something inside me knew it was not right for them.
It's happened many times, and I'm glad it has.
So get the focus off of you! Stop thinking about how you're gonna make a commission, and put the center on the individual. You'll get better results, you'll attract better people, and in the end… you're going to build a much more sustainable business.
Strategy #2: Ask Questions
If your focus has to be on your prospect's dreams and desires, how do you know what those dreams are?
Simply asking questions.
When you're speaking with a prospect, whether it's on the phone, in person, or video chat, ask them straightforward questions.
I remember when I got started in the home business industry back in the year 2000, a guy sat across from the table doing exactly that with me!
One of the questions he asked me was very powerful, and really made me think!
The Question: “If time and money were not an obstacle, where would you go, what would you do, what would you want to be, what would you want to accomplish?”
At that very moment; I was infected with the freedom bug. Because he genuinely made me think and realize what I truly wanted!
What was my answer? “I want to live life on my terms at some point. I want to live the life where I can go and do what I want. I want to live life on MY terms. I want to go on vacation when I want to go on vacation. I want to take a day off here and there, where I don't have to ask anybody.”
To me that was freedom!
So what did he do? He got me thinking about where I truly wanted to go, and where my future was. Because at the time, I was working a very high labor job. I wasn't happy with what I was doing, and I didn't want to be there.
However, I wouldn't have learned about another path, if he hadn't asked me those questions.
So ask questions! Because answers you get back will reveal the desires of the prospect. They'll tell you what they want out of their life. They'll let you know what they're looking for. They'll reveal what their goals are, and what they want to achieve.
But you can only understand these things…if you're listening!
If you can help them see where they want to go, and you can provide a solution that potentially helps them get there, you're going to have a much better prospect, and you're going to sign up better, more driven people to work with.
Strategy #3: Run the Numbers.
Early on in my career, I used to work a sales job in Southern California. I'd be driving around in my car for hours and hours a day, always listening to audio programs. One of my favorite people to listen to was Jim Rohn.
One day he said something so profound I never forgot it! “If you want to be successful in network marketing, you need to know your numbers, and build a ratio.” (That's paraphrased but you get the gist!)
Here's what he meant…
If you to talk to 10 people, how many people out of 10 would you sign up?
Jim said eventually, the more people you talk to; a ratio begins to appear. If you talk to 10 people and sign up one person, then you know to sign up ten people, you must to speak to 100!
Then he went on to say:“The more you speak to, the better you get, and your ratio will improve.”
Then I Had a New Problem…
You see early on in my career, the biggest thing that I struggled with was how to find enough people to talk to about my network marketing business.
My warm market? I ran out of it! I didn't have enough friends and family, that's for sure.
So I was forced to go out and start doing cold calling. I didn't like that (at all!) I did cold market recruiting out in the malls and the gas stations. I REALLY couldn't stand that!
You Must Have People to Talk to About Your Business, or No Network Marketing Recruiting Strategy Will Work!
It wasn't until I started searching around online and learning some basic strategies to generate leads ONLINE and bring people to ME.
The greatest skill I've ever learned is to generate endless leads for my business. This skill has allowed me to become full-time for about six years in my business, and I would never change a thing.
It's the #1 one skill to bring in the numbers so that you have endless people to talk to!
This skill cannot be ignored if you're serious about your success, and you want to recruit more people into your network marketing business.
