The Top 3 Reasons To Use Video In Your Online Business

It's no secret that video is hot online. As a matter of fact, online video is so popular that just recently Mark Zuckerberg recently said: “In five years, most of Facebook will be video”.

He said this in November of 2014, so we are already into this trend a few years and it's not slowing down.

As a matter of fact, this trend is gaining speed at such a rapid pace that it's just flat out exciting to see it happen.

If you're a home-based business owner this spells “OPPORTUNITY” for those that see it and run with it.

Here are my top 5 reasons you MUST be using video in your business if you want to succeed in your home business in 2016 and beyond.

Reason #1 – Creates Emotional Connection

Have you ever just stopped to ask yourself why celebrities and rockstars are so popular? The answer is simple. Video.

The answer is simple. Video.

If you lived back in the 80's like myself (I am dating myself here…lol) you would have seen when MTV came on the scene and exploded in popularity.

People were creating a connection to their favorite artists in a whole new way. As a matter of fact, the very first video that was ever on the MTV was “Video killed the radio star” by the Buggles.

I would suggest to you that “Online video killed the one that refused to build online without it”. If you want to create a connection with your audience today, online video is not an option.

Why was MTV it so popular in the 80's? People saw their favorite artists in a whole new way which caused them to create an emotional connection that literally sold millions of albums for artists.

Essentially people saw their favorite artists in a whole new way which caused them to create an emotional connection that literally sold millions of albums for artists.

Emotions are super powerful. Remember the saying that says “People will rarely remember what you told them, but they will always remember they way you make them feel”.

If you understand this, you will then know why video is so powerful today.

Reason #2 – Preferred Method of Content Consumption

Today's marketplace is infatuated with video content. It is by far the preferred method of information consumption online today.

Why do you think videos go viral all the time? According to statistics in 2016, approximately 64% of people are more likely to buy a product or service after watching a video.

Sites like YouTube are so popular that it very well could take over Google as the #1 search engine online in the near future.

Cable companies are freaking out because more and more people are choosing to watch what they want by using online video that paying for ridiculous monthly rates for channels they don't watch.

This is one of the main reasons you should be using video today. You must go where the people are and create content that the people watch.

Reason #3 – Increases Audience Engagement

Your audience is 10x more likely to engage in you and your message when you communicate with them via video.

Imagine being able to engage with your audience right where they are currently? Stop for one second and just ask yourself how many videos you watch on your cell phone?

Every single person on the planet that has a smartphone now has the ability to broadcast their own TV show to the masses.

Just think how incredibly power that is? There are people on YouTube that have better ratings than many top rated TV shows. Wrap your head around that one!

Getting your prospects attention today is a crucial part of marketing online. There simply is no better way to increase that engagement than with online video.

Conclusion

When you take all of these three reasons and look at each of them, you will see that if you are going to attempt to build a successful business online today, it will be very difficult to do if online video is not a massive part of your overall strategy.

One successful key to being successful in any business endeavor is to always go where the people are and right in front of them.

One of the simplest ways to start doing videos is on your cell phone. Create a video and upload it to Facebook. After you do this consistently for a period of time, you will find that people will begin to gravitate toward your message and you will be well on your way to creating an audience that will not only hang on your every

Do this over and over and you will be well on your way to creating an audience that will not only hang on your every word but will buy product and services you recommend that are in line with your overall message.

So now it's your turn. Leave me a comment below and tell me. Are you doing video? If not, what are your biggest apprehensions to doing it? I will do a future blog post answering your question and may feature you in that post.

Ready? Go.

Thanks for another great training! Helps me keep moving forward in doing more videos.

I think my biggest apprehension is having a strong call to action – I don't have a blog yet, so is it better to direct them to Facebook or encourage them to email me…? Or do I just need to do whatever it takes to get a blog? It's challenging to figure out what to focus on in the beginning… 😉

Thanks for taking time while on your cruise to give us these gold nuggets!
