There are two strategies that can get you the network marketing leads you need. In this article, I'm going to show you those two strategies, and give you my thoughts on both of them.
This way you can decide which strategy you want to use, and go after it with a vengeance to get an endless flow of leads coming in.

The 2 Best Strategies to Get Network Marketing Leads for Your Business!
Lead Strategy #1: Active Prospecting
The very first way that you can build your business is through active prospecting. Active prospecting is basically where you go out, and you pursue prospects.
There are many ways to do this.
When I first got started in home business back in the year 2000, one of the things that I did was all offline marketing.
The truth is, online marketing wasn't even a significant thought back then, so I used to go out to actively FIND people who could possibly become prospects.
I'd go to gas stations, shopping malls, bookstores… basically anywhere and everywhere, I would always be looking to prospect. No matter where I was, I was active in prospecting.
The goal was to always be looking to connect with people! To get their phone number, their business card, etc.
To be honest, I did have some success with it. I was able to recruit some awesome people and pull in some great business builders.
However, what I didn't like about it was that it was tough to enjoy myself when I went out with my family.
For instance, I'd be out at the restaurant, and we'd be there eating and on my mind is “What am I going to do to strike up a conversation with this server?” “How am I going to get their name and phone number so that I can prospect them later?”
The reality of it was… I could never enjoy myself. That's just me! It doesn't necessarily apply to everybody else, but I did not appreciate that part of the business. So I started to move into some other areas, and we'll share that here in just a moment.
What If Active Prospecting IS for You!
Perhaps you have a certain goal that you're after, and you're perfectly willing to go out and talk to people.
Maybe you're an extrovert, and this part of the business is tons of fun for you. If so that's great, because tons of people have built monster businesses by going out and actively prospecting people.
So the goal is you're going after PEOPLE!
Where to Use Active Prospecting…
You can do this in tons of different places, like the ones I mentioned above. One of the cool things, which wasn't available in the early days, is you can also use active prospecting on social media today.
You can connect with individuals on Facebook for instance, in an individual way, where you start up conversations through Facebook messenger, and essentially almost do the same thing you would do if you were in an offline environment.
The option is there for you to do that in an online environment, and that tends to be very, very useful when going out offline isn't an option. It simply gives you more leverage than doing it the old, traditional way.
Again, don't get me wrong… I'm not saying the old traditional way in a negative sense. I believe offline marketing is very, very useful as well.
You just have to choose which way you want to go and pursue it. And so prospecting, active prospecting, there's a time and a place for that, and it indeed is a strategy.
Most companies will provide you a blueprint on how to do that.
Here's how that usually works.
Your network marketing company will give you a success strategy where you put together your 100 names of your friends, family, and co-workers. They'll give you a memory jogger, and as you fill that memory jogger out, it's a way to pursue what's called your warm market.
The people you come in contact with on a daily basis.
Truthfully, that's where you're probably going to want start when it comes to creating an effective network marketing success strategy. Because if you have that in place, that can be a fast way for you to make money in your network marketing business. Talk to the people that you know.
Of course many people I talk to often want to do stuff only online.
Yet still, even though I'm primarily an online marketer, the first thing I always ask them is “Who can you connect with, that you think will benefit from your particular product?”
Who can YOU connect with? Who can you go to? Because it can be a great way to have some initial success with your network marketing business.
This network marketing success strategy that has worked for decades, and it can work for you today.
So if you want to go out there and you want to make money right away, go with active prospecting.
Lead Strategy #2: Passive Marketing!
Passive marketing is extremely powerful.
There is a time and a place for active prospecting, but I love passive marketing.
With this type of marketing, you essentially create a situation where people end up coming to YOU, rather than you going to them.
Now, I don't know about you, but I love it when people come to me and say, “Hey, you know what? I have an interest in your business, or your product, or your service…can you tell me more about it?
Ways to Put Passive Marketing to Work to Grow Your Network Marketing Business…
You're probably wondering…how the heck am I going to get people coming to me?
The truth is there are a plethora of ways. And it's even pretty fun!

- Twitter Posts
- Paid Ads
- And more!
Basically, it's all about creating compelling content that will serve your audience.
This content acts as bait, where you're throwing out hooks into the sea of prospects… and you are looking for people who have an interest in what it is that you're offering.
This is why I love using the internet and online strategies to do what we call Attraction Marketing.
Attraction marketing is really the ONLY way you can market online.
Most people make a big mistake, especially when they first get started. You may be making this mistake as well.
The truth is if you go out there and you promote your business, spamming and spewing things like “It's the best opportunity in the world”, “Our product is head and shoulders above this one”, or anything like that… you're going to do the exact opposite of attracting people but instead push them away.
Of course, you're super excited about your company.
Maybe it's all you talk about. But I've been around long enough, and I've seen it enough to know… people DO NOT respond to that type of marketing.
They're repelled by it!

Why is attraction marketing so useful? Because it's all about educating people. Showing people YOUR value, and helping them get closer to their goals…before EVER asking
One Important Difference Between Active and Passive Marketing…
Passive marketing can take a little bit to get going. Which is why I tell people that if you want to make money fast, go with active prospecting and get in there and start talking to people that you know.
But if you've got a little time to build up, and you're willing to put into place some of the things that you need for attraction marketing to kick in (It can be about three to six months) you can really get things going, and it can bring leads to you forever.
For instance, I've created content that I put out five and six years ago, and people still reach out to me today asking me about my products and services.
Which has created, in essence, a residual based income from those efforts and that's the power of passive marketing.
