The hardest thing to do in life for some is taking personal responsibility.

What is taking personal responsibility?

Well lets just say that it's where you take full, and I do mean FULL responsibility for everything that is happening or not happening in your life.

With this in mind, I really wanted to do something a little different for you. I came across an article this morning that really got me excited about this exact topic, and rather than just re-post it for you, I thought I would read it so you could listen and enjoy it.

I truly believe with everything in me, this is the hallmark of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

There is nothing more liberating, nothing more freeing, nothing more that moves you toward your goals than that of taking total and complete responsibility for your actions.

It's what separates those that accomplish great things and those that do not.

It is what causes one to see the highest levels of achievement in their life and business, while others wish they could have it but refuse to accept full responsibility for their actions and blame others for their lack of achievement.

Understanding this, could literally cause your business to do a 180 degree shift from where it is now, to where you want it to be starting today.

This audio is 18 minutes long, but grasping the information, could have a lifetime affect on your life and business. Enjoy it!

After you have listened to the audio, please take the time to leave a comment below, I want to hear what you have to say about this topic.

Also, if you got something out of this, please take the time to like it, share it, or tweet it to your friends.

L*O*V*E….this! So very powerful and it speaks volumes that we can all take action immediately on for our own self growth.

Mark, I couldn’t agree with you more. It’s amazing how quickly we give ourselves credit when good things happen, but duck responsibility when their inaction leads directly to what they “don’t want.” Whether people have to cut the grass, cold call a client, develop and work a real lead system, or speak candidly with a spouse, taking responsibility will take us down the right road. So many times, it’s not the “easy” road, though. Thanks for your wise words. It’s good reinforcement for those of us who “slip up” from time to time and make excuses instead of taking responsibility. All the best to you!

    • We LOVE this Mark! You really nailed it here! We have to hold ourselves accountable for our own choices in life. One thing that has helped us tremendously is filling out an accountability form each day on the things we’ve set out to accomplish. If something doesn’t get done, we don’t blame anyone else, we take responsibility and take the proper measures to make sure we do better and better each day. In reality, we really we haven’t missed a beat yet, but if we did, it would be our own fault. We can always learn more and should consistently be taking action to be better people and marketers both mentally and professionally. Thanks for sharing this most important message with the masses. It’s the difference between the 98%er’s and the 2% er’s. To the Top my friend!

    • Oh my…..some things on here that I am still guilty of doing. Goodness, this was a good reminder Mark and has just made me think about what I did/am doing that is causing some eruptions between the kids and me just lately.

      I must try harder.

Thanks for this – will be in touch on Friday,
      Nicky

As I listened I grew inspired, as I have to remind myself every day that Me and only Me is responsible for Me. Listening made me smile to myself as I keep telling myself that I no longer want to be amongst the chickens in the yard but to elevate Me to the status of an Eagle. All that said, it is not an easy road taken, sometimes lonely as the decisions are only made by Me.

Thanks for the audio as it gave me a reason to “stick to it!” Whatever You decide in this life, it is ultimately Your decision. Sometimes I get nervous, scared even and say to myself, do I really want to take on this responsibility? Do I want to take control of My Life? Then I quickly reflect and remember that if I don’t take charge of Me, someone else will and then they become responsible for Me, and when they kick Me to the curb, am I going to blame Them? Been there, done that and I Do Not Like that feeling! I’ll have to take my chances and row my own boat. Well said!!!

So well said Noelle, I love it!!!

Mark, once again, a masterpiece of information that is so critical in many folks’ lives today…..not just for network marketers but for most people in the world…..the “entitlement” mentality, or the fear of failure, or the lack of personal dedication to goal-setting…these are all things that we are personally in-control-of. We cannot blame one person for what we do not have or do not do….especially here in America where we have the rights and freedoms we enjoy….thanks again!

      • Mark Harbert

Jim you always amaze me with your insight brother. Totally agree my friend. The “entitlement mentality” is not a luxury we can afford as entrepreneurs, we must make our own breaks. thanks bud!!

Personal responsibility means being aware of Murphy’s Law, meaning that if anything can go wrong, it will go wrong. The lesson of Murphy’s Law is if you want your plans to go right, you must thoroughly examine them to make sure that none of the steps involved is subject to the whims of chance or are dependent on good luck. If you fix potential problems before they happen, you will only find the good kind of breaks, the lucky breaks, because you will be making them for yourself.

      • Mark Harbert

Dead on Michael, I love it. Thanks for the comment my friend great insight!!!

    • As always, Mark your thoughtful selection and sharing is right on the mark…! The foundation for all that we accomplish begins with taking personal responsibility.

    • Donna Gallegos

Thank you Mark, being a leader requires willingness to take responsibility not only of success but failure. I've found that admitting personal responsibility has brought greater admiration and advancement in life and business.

    • Mark Harbert

Thanks Paula, and yes for sure. this is the beginning point for success. You rock girlie.

    • Mark Harbert

Donna, so right on. I firmly believe that more freedom comes from taking responsibility in your life. the more you blame, the more bound you are in achieving what you want too. Great comment.
