Probably one of the biggest questions I get is…
“How do I convert my leads into sales and reps for my team?”
It's very valid, and quite honestly there are many ways to do this. I will talk in this post about two of the main ways to do that effectively.
First, understand this….. you are working with people. What is it that you look for before you purchase?
If it's what you want, then it's almost a guarantee your potential prospects want it as well and probably make the purchase because you have effectively communicated it.
In my opinion, what most people want nowadays is the assurance they are making a good decision. So keep this in mind when you are seeking to convert leads into buyers and reps.
First Way To Convert Leads
Among internet marketers, there is this sense of never wanting to get on the phone and actually talk to interested prospects.
I recently talked with a woman on the phone who told me she didn't want to talk to people on the phone because she wasn't good at it, she just wanted to make money.
But…. the funny thing is, she didn't want to buy anything until she talked to me first…..lol.
Do you see what I mean?
You can't be illogical about what your prospect wants, because 9 times out of 10 they want the same thing as you.
So you must get over your fear of actually talking to people.
There seems to be an inherent fear in people that they have to get on the phone and sell people which is not the case when you do it right.
Here are five simple questions you can ask people to get the conversation going.
- What do you do for a living?
- What does that entail exactly?
- How long have you been doing that?
- What made you decide to do that exactly?
- Did you do anything before that?
Just asking someone what they do for a living will blow the doors wide open for conversation and it's through conversation that you can learn about the person's needs and desires.
It's not until you understand their needs and desires that you can show them a way to actually get their needs and desires met with your product.
In any type of sales, the goal is NOT to “SELL THEM”, your goal should be to find out what their goals are and try to help them achieve it.
This starts with not being afraid of the phone, but rather embrace it, and put the desire and needs of your prospect above your need for making a commission.
If you will do this, you will find you won't be so afraid of the phone, and it will actually become your best friend in business.
So, the first way to convert your leads into sales and signups is to get on the phone and lose the agenda.
Find out what they want to accomplish, and see if you can help them get there. Make sense?
Second Way To Convert Leads
I love automation. Automation is super fun, super powerful, and it's highly leveraged.
I like to call this passive marketing. Passive marketing is super powerful as it gets people reaching out to you rather than you reaching out to them.
Passive marketing can also help you get sales without ever having to pick up the phone however and a BIG HOWEVER is you shouldn't rely on this alone.
Creating content, and properly promoting that content is the key to passive marketing.
One goal is to always stay in front of the prospects as much as possible.
With a solid content marketing plan that answers the questions of your target market, you will solidify in the minds of your prospects that you are the go-to person on that particular topic.
What will happen is they will reach out to you by email, Facebook, or by some other means, and trust me, it's a whole different kind of conversation when that happens.
