Over the years I have learned that one of the best ways to market is using a principle called “Attraction Marketing” or you could even call it “Influencer marketing”.
This is a really simple concept to understand and quite frankly it can make all the difference in marketing online.
Getting leads, recruiting them in your business, and making sales is all about credibility and trust in the eyes of your prospects.
If you can show them you know what you're talking about, you are now the influencer.
The good news is…
It doesn't take years or even months to do, you can do it very fast.
Here are the 4 ways using content can create that “influencer” status.
1. The Teacher Carries Influence
One of the greatest ways content creates influence is people respect the teacher.
Remember when you were in high school and your math teacher was in front of the room showing you how to solve that problem?
You viewed them as the expert because they were teaching you right? They knew the answer and you had to follow them to learn it correctly.
Creating content can have the very same effect. When you are the one teaching, you are immediately recognized as the authority on the subject.
People view you as the one that has the answer, and therefore they pay attention which immediately elevates you in the prospect's mind.
The biggest reason many continue to struggle is they think they must have results to teach.
This is not true.
Ask yourself this, did your teacher ever fly to the moon? 99.9999% sure that the answer is no.
So how can they teach you about flying to the moon in class when they haven't done it themselves?
Because they read about it, studied it, and relayed the information to you.
It's really simple, just don't feel you have to have results to create informative content.
2. Share Tips & Tricks You Learn With Others
It's very important that you know your industry well.
If you're in your home business as a hobby and not a REAL business then you might struggle with this one.
The reason is, what you are passionate about you pursue.
Your knowledge and passion will come through in your content. Whether it's creating a blog post or video content you must show that you genuinely love it.
You can't fake it.
People can tell if you are putting your heart and soul into it or if it's just a half-hearted attempt.
Your prospects are looking for someone with vision and direction. You can become knowledgeable in your industry by just showing up.
That's right…. showing up. This means, get on the conference calls. Show up to the training webinars. Invest in courses and training that make you better.
When you then share this information with others that you are learning, your knowledge of the topics will make a difference and build your credibility in the eyes of your prospects.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying you have to be Einstein on every topic, just know it well enough to communicate the solution on topics.
Do this and you will build influence quickly.
3. Provide Credible Resources
One of the really cool things that content can do is help you to be a trusted resource.
Today with affiliate marketing, you can create content doing a review of a product and refer it to your audience.
The great thing about this is as you refer good products and services to your audience they will love you for it.
As a matter of fact, they will even start asking you for your opinion before buying.
You must understand, people are being sold from every angle. Many times they don't know what to believe, or who to believe.
Give them a reason to believe you and trust you. Create review content and talk about a product or service and how it can benefit them.
This not only creates trust for you, but it can also pay you many times over.
Anytime you find cool resources or tools, share them with your people, even if it's a free resource as you will become an influencer in the process.
4. Publish A Case Study
This is an awesome way to showcase your influence and build massive trust with your audience.
Take some information or a strategy you know that gets results and create a case study out of it.
Show them how you got results using a particular strategy or action, and walk them through it step by step and show them how to get results too.
People love step-by-step information. People are interested in results and if you have something that has worked for you no matter how small the result, share it.
Remember what I said above? You don't need to have massive results to teach, just do it and see the reaction your audience will give you.
I did a blog post where I showed people how to get free leads in under 15 minutes per day doing things they are already doing on Facebook.
It was a massive hit, and it was super simple. I still get many people commenting and reaching out to me telling just how easy it is to do and thanking me for that post.
Case studies are great ways to give great tips and build influence with your audience.
Being someone with influence is really the only way to build an online business today, and it's not that hard to create influence. Once you realize how to pump value into the marketplace while creating content you will be hooked and so will your prospects.
